Ski & Sports Recreation Co. Acquires Serac
Ski & Sports Recreation Company LLC, dba Marker Ltd, announced Oct. 18 that an option agreement has been signed to acquire Serac's U.S. operations. Salt Lake City, Utah-based Ski and Sports Recreation plans to have a Serac line ready to sell this winter for fall/winter 2002 delivery. Serac's CEO, Bill McCabe, will help with the creation of a line, which will include shells as well as insulated tops and bottoms for both men and women.

Ski & Sports Recreation Company LLC, dba Marker Ltd, announced Oct.
18 that an option agreement has been signed to acquire Serac’s U.S.
operations. Salt Lake City, Utah-based Ski and Sports Recreation plans
to have a Serac line ready to sell this winter for fall/winter 2002
delivery. Serac’s CEO, Bill McCabe, will help with the creation of a
line, which will include shells as well as insulated tops and bottoms
for both men and women.
“Now we can offer a broader mix of merchandise, keeping pure the
marketing and positioning of each brand,” said Ski & Sports
Recreation CEO Daryl James about the addition of Serac to its Marker
line.
“After several years of sustained growth,” said McCabe, “now it’s the time to take Serac to the next level.”
Ski & Sports Recreation is the official outfitter, sponsor and
licensee for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. The company
is a partnership that includes several well-known outdoor and ski
market executives, including McCabe.
