What better way to ring in the New Year than with two new SNEWS® features — created because our readers asked for them.
Community Forums
The first, our SNEWS Forum — go to www.outsidebusinessjournal.com/cgi-bin/snews/xdpy/forum/00002/index.html — is your place to sound off, speak out, and be heard. We’ve designed it as a meeting place for our subscribers to post commentary on articles that appear in SNEWS, as well as to take part in online discussions related to comments on articles and topics of interest. While we encourage everyone to stand behind their commentary, we have made it possible for you to remain anonymous on the public side, should you choose.
This is your community! If there is a subject on which you would like to see a Forum, just ask us by sending an email to: forums@snewsnet.com. Since this is your community, you are encouraged to sound off and speak out freely, though we ask you to refrain from simply flaming a company or person, and we will delete any posting we deem written with the sole purpose of insulting or one-upping. We do ask that all postings be constructive in nature and that all discussions be carried on with the goal of informing and broadening horizons through constructive debate.
Trade Show News
The second feature we launched is a Trade Show News section. The link to this section is located on the right navigation bar on every page at www.outsidebusinessjournal.com. Inside, you’ll find convenient access to all of our pre-show and post-show news reports related to most major outdoor and fitness industry trade shows in the U.S. and Europe.
For now, those include Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, SIA, ispo, Health & Fitness Business, Club Industry, OutDoor Friedrichshafen, IHRSA, The Super Show, and a host of key regional shows; members of the SNEWS® reporting team attend all of these each year so we can bring you news and industry coverage that isn’t or doesn’t read like a press release.
Now, you can research trends and news related to the trade show events that are central to our business in one place, posted in chronological order. No other publication or online news service covers either the fitness or outdoor trade shows more completely or fully than SNEWS® and that commitment will continue. We’ve had quite a few readers tell us they felt as if they were at a particular trade show simply from reading our detailed coverage of new product introductions, trends, breaking news and industry happenings.
