SNEWS® Live: Professional climber and writer Greg Child has been at it for more than 30 years. At 51, Child has enjoyed a life built around his passion for climbing — the one thing he loves more than anything else. Climbing first ascents in India, Pakistan, Alaska and Yosemite, Child’s career spans much of the modern era of adventure.
In this installment of our series that traces the origins of outdoor and fitness industry professionals, SNEWS® Live connected with Child to talk about how it all began. We caught him on the phone as he was preparing to head out and climb a 1,200-foot cliff somewhere in Utah — another first ascent.
