SNEWS® Live: On the outskirts of Madison, Wis., leading fitness industry manufacturer Johnson Health Tech has built a state-of-the-art research and development center that the company said promises to raise its productivity and leadership. At the cost of $12 million, the company’s new facility houses not only the Johnson R&D staff, but also the headquarters for both the Horizon Fitness and Matrix Fitness brands. More than 170 current employees have moved in to the 214,000-square-foot plant on a 15-acre site in the town of Cottage Grove. In a recent dedication ceremony, company executives from China as well as from its North American brands, plus employees, customers and local dignitaries gathered to celebrate what the company called the beginning of a new era of innovation.
