SNEWS® Live —The Outdoor Industry Association has introduced a new study that quantifies the economic impact of outdoor recreation to the U.S. economy. Sponsored by the trade group’s outreach subsidiary, the Outdoor Industry Foundation, the study was conducted by research firms Harris Interactive and Southwick Associates to put into hard numbers the direct financial contributions of the outdoor industry and the recreational activities it promotes.
