Pitched by Drew Clark, founder and CEO of California Cowboy:
Après-ski. The infamous slope-side social is a global phenomenon practiced by skiers and riders of all skill levels. Yet this critical component of alpine social life has never had its own dedicated apparel design. We at California Cowboy thought that was a crime. So we designed the High Sierra: the first ever Après Ski shirt. Our luxurious Portuguese flannel button down is armed to the teeth with features designed to enhance your Après game. Each shirt is lined with our proprietary cotton-modal thermal, features a bottle pocket and included koozie, a dry pocket to protect your tech, a bottle opener that fits in a specially designed pocket, a glove loop, a loop to secure your sunglasses, and a stack of fun, analog conversation cards. Because who needs to stare at a phone screen when you’re crushing a cold one.

We’re all about the social elements of skiing, surfing, and generally being outside. We want to own the “Après” market and we’re well on our way. Did we mention that we also completely reinvented the aloha shirt? Check out the High Water, the first ever Après-Surf shirt. Looking for something to wear out to the pool? We designed a women’s kimono that fits a full bottle of champagne in the back pocket—perfect for après ski jacuzzi trips. For the guys, check out El Garibaldi Yukata, a beer pocket clad après-surf robe that’s perfect for the winter months’ hot tubbing.
Our product is designed for all the Cowboys out there who ride waves and mountains. We design for people who know the value of solid conversation, and how fun it is to come together after a day on the mountain to share war stories. You ready to put a pocket on that phone and join the war on boring?
