Out of more than 100 submissions for Powder7’s logo contest, Matt Brozovich’s asymmetrical snowflake won unanimously. The Golden, Colorado-based ski shop and local graphic designer make a common sense pair: Both the contest and the selection align with Powder7’s “Skiing for All” spirit.
Brozovich owns his own digital design company, Broz, and used vintage ski magazines as inspiration for a logo that is both retro and timeless. For him, the contest could not have come at a better time. “I haven’t had new gear in seven or eight years,” Brozovich said in a news release. “Skiing is so near and dear to my heart. When I saw this contest I thought, ‘This is perfect!’”
Powder7 will also recognize and award prizes to two runners-up and five honorable mentions. Brozovich’s logo is set to launch in early 2019.
