Superfeet announces Spring 2017 footwear lineup

Ferndale, WA (June 28, 2016) – Superfeet, the leading insole brand in the active lifestyle and outdoor markets, announces today their debut of footwear for spring 2017. With six sandals and 12 shoe designs in the collection, Superfeet builds on a 39-year history of providing people personalized fit solutions for footwear and giving consumers a way to feel better in their shoes, during which they perfected the art of shape and support underfoot as an insole company. Now, Superfeet is taking the business of personalized fit to the next level with footwear. The shoes and sandals will be available at retail early next year.

In spring 2016, Superfeet introduced the Outside sandal, a casual flip flop that offers the comfort and support of their signature insole shape with a clean, everyday look. The sandal was welcomingly received by their fan base, of which over half own three or more pairs of the brand’s insoles. With 80% market share in the outdoor and active lifestyle markets, Superfeet introduced their Outside sandals to offer their fans the shape and support of Superfeet insoles outside of the shoe.

This Spring Superfeet builds on the success of the Outside Sandal with a full footwear collection for men and women. Built from the insole out, the collection spans from stylish, supportive sandals to street-ready athletically-inspired shoes— and is structured to help people feel their best whether out for a dog walk or going from office-to-bar to happy hour.

“We started with what we know best, the insole,” says Eric Hayes, Vice President of Marketing and Product. “The least important thing to our competitors is the most important thing to us. Building the shoe from the inside out dramatically changes its fit and performance.”

The shoes are built with Superfeet’s trademarked Lock-and-Key™ construction, which means they start with a premium Superfeet insole—delivering Superfeet’s unmistakable shape—and marry it to the midsole for optimal fit and function. Then they add an outsole with tread and flex grooves that complement the customer’s stride and finish it off with materials like premium-grade leather and highly-breathable mesh.

With a nod to its heritage, the Superfeet integrated cork throughout the line to deliver unsurpassed comfort. Since Superfeet’s beginnings, cork has been a key element for creating custom shaped insoles. Cork molds to the foot while providing maximum resilience, so the comfort of your shoes doesn’t give-out before you do. The insole in the shoes—Superfeet’s Supercork Premium Insoles— will only be available in Superfeet footwear.

Key styles include (in order listed in above image):

  • Verde – a casual women’s sandal with a leather footbed and straps ($130)
  • Fir – a women’s boat-shoe inspired slip-on with made of leather ($120)

  • Ross – office-to-weekend-friendly men’s shoe made of luxurious leather with casual styling ($130)
