Arne Arens is the new Global Brand President of The North Face. Arens has been with the company since 2010, first overseeing sales, marketing, merchandising, product development and direct-to-consumer activities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In March, he became VP of and GM in the Americas, filling the void left when Todd Spaletto departed the company in January.
“I am honored to lead the global direction for the world’s most authentic and iconic outdoor brand,” said Arens in a statement. “The North Face brand teams work hard every day to inspire people to explore the outdoors and equip them with innovative products. With our new strategic focus and operational rigor, I know that together we will guide the brand into our next phase of global growth.”
“I am confident that Arne’s passion for and deep understanding of the outdoor marketplace, coupled with his management expertise and operational agility, make him ideally suited to unlock new opportunities and accelerate growth for The North Face around the world,” said his boss, Scott Baxter Vice President, VF and Group President, Outdoor and Action Sports Americas.
