Josh Clifford and David “Jeff” Boyde, employees of Brady’s in eastern Idaho, were killed Jan. 20 in a car accident. Darion Smith and Ethan Upton, also Brady’s employees, were seriously injured.
The four men were en route to install a sauna when their Ford F-250 truck hit a patch of ice and veered into an embankment before rolling on U.S. Hwy 26. Front-seat passenger Clifford, 25, and backseat passenger Boyde, 32, died at the scene.
Clifford worked for his two uncles, Brad and Steve Brady, as the installation manager. With two stores in Idaho Falls and Pocatello, Brady’s has a diverse mix of products that in addition to fitness equipment includes spas, saunas, gazebos, vacuums and sewing machines.
Clifford’s obituary in the Post Register said: “If Josh had a job to do, he made sure it was done right. There was nothing Josh couldn’t handle. It was always, ‘measure twice, cut once; no room for mistakes.’ If something was done wrong, Josh was there to fix it; he was a perfectionist.”
Memorial services for Clifford were Jan. 25. He is survived by his parents, David Brett Clifford and Terry Lynn Clifford, and sister Nicole Marie Clifford.
Funeral services for Boyde were on Jan. 28. He is survived by his wife Janet Boyde, daughter Nia Boyde, and stepchildren, Jasmine Smith and Reginald Sayles; his mother Annie Kate Boyde; father Larnell Hooks; and siblings Lana Hooks, Kimberley Boyde, James E. Boyde, Larnell Hooks Jr. and Barbara Redmond.
