The roster for the 2003 Life-Link/Dynafit Ski Mountaineering Race Series has expanded to include Whistler Blackcomb. Slated for Jan. 11, the race will be part of Whistler Blackcomb’s weeklong Big Mountain Experience mountain festival and the first stop for the race series. “Whistler Blackcomb believes this event is a perfect fit and partnership. It draws on the mountain’s strengths and highlights its unique characteristics — glaciers, alpine bowls and North America’s greatest terrain and vertical,” said Christopher Nicolson, spokesman for Whistler Blackcomb. The rally series continues at Alpental, Wash., on Feb. 23 and at Stevans Pass, Wash., on Mar. 9, winding down with the North American Championships in Jackson Hole, Wyo., on Mar. 22.
