Less than six months after debuting in the U.S. market, W.L. Gore’s Concurve cycling apparel has partnered with the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy to offer its members a discount, as well as put money into the non-profit’s coffers. A special key code has been created for RTC’s 110,000 members, which will allow them to receive a 10 percent discount off the purchase price when they buy Concurve apparel from the company’s website (www.concurve.com) or by phone (800-455-4184). Additionally, Gore will give the group 25 percent of each sale made by an RTC member. Concurve’s John Spencer says he has to give credit for the idea to his wife, who is an RTC member. “The RTC leadership/management team is first rate, and their focus on building trails from abandoned railroad tracks is socially responsible and to be admired. So, a strategic alliance between RTC and Gore is a natural fit,” Spencer told SNEWS in an e-mail.
