Backpacker magazine (www.backpacker.com) today named Kent Ebersole as publisher and Charina Lumley as marketing director. Backpacker was recently acquired from Rodale by Active Interest Media, Inc. (AIM), the consumer enthusiast media company whose portfolio includes magazines, consumer shows, books, and websites.
