VAUDE inaugurated a VAUDE store in Nepal, the land of the highest mountains in the world. The minister of economic affairs, Asta Laxmi Shakya, was personally present to cut the ribbon at the opening.

On July 16th VAUDE was added to the European Union’s EMAS Register. At the international Outdoor trade show in Friedrichshafen, Antje von Dewitz, VAUDE Marketing Manager, accepted Europe’s leading environmental award from Ruth Schlaf, Consultant for Demographics and the Environment at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Lake Constance-Upper Swabia.

Two successful companies, both with headquarters and production facilities in Germany, will now join forces: VAUDE has recently acquired the company Edelrid (Edelmann + Ridder GmbH & Co. KG).
