'Project Trumpmore': Want to see Trump's face melt?
A Finnish nonprofit wants to carve an ice sculpture of Trump's face into a glacier to put global warming to the test.

President Donald Trump’s face could melt into the sea if a Finland-based group raises enough money to carve a monstrous ice sculpture of him into an Arctic glacier.
It’s all to prove to the president that climate change isn’t a hoax.
The nonprofit, Melting Ice, needs $500,000 to build “Trumpmore” to match the size of the presidents’ busts on South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore—115-feet tall and 65-feet wide.
The project is a jab at Trump’s dismissal of global warming and his desire to one day be among the presidents faces in the granite sculpture, as reported by multiple news outlets.
Currently, the group is scouring the sea in search of a glacier in the Arctic showing obvious signs of global warming. Then, a team of Finnish and Mongolian ice sculptors will take four weeks to construct the head.
The group plans to livestream the construction as well as the monument’s melting.
“Global warming is one of the most important issues and topics of today,” Melting Ice Chairman Nicholas Prieto said in a statement. “We want to build the monument for all of us, so we can see how long the sculpture lasts before melting. There are still people who ponder whether it’s a real issue. Often people only believe something when they see it with their own eyes.”
Over and over, Trump has said that climate change is fake. He’s even gone so far as to repeal the Clean Power Plan, leave the Paris Climate Agreement—both efforts to combat climate change—and enable oil and gas operations to claim public lands.
So, will Trump’s face melt away or last a thousand years? And will he care either way?
