Coral Darby, owner and founder of Darby Communications, hosted a webinar classroom, “Implementing Successful Local Events,” on April 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. MST. The Outdoor University is an affiliate of the SNEWS® Retail College, and as such, this class is open to all OIA members and SNEWS subscribers for free.
Getting involved locally is good for the community and good for your bottom line, but there are lots of unknowns along the way. Darby will offer suggestions on how to successfully host your own event and make the most of sponsored events. In addition, she’ll offer tips on:
- How to set objectives and expectations for the event
- How to market the event
- How to engage your staff and vendors before, during and after the event
Darby will also offer valuable audit tools during the session, so attendees will also be able to best assess their investment and plan for the future.
If you are not an OIA member, you can still register for class without having to pony up $99. As a SNEWS subscriber, you are able to participate in any Outdoor University program for free. Simply email oureg@snewsnet.com and we’ll get a registration form emailed back right away.
