SNEWS® Live: In the northeastern corner of Wyoming, Devils Tower rises 1,267 feet from the prairie floor. The volcanic intrusion of igneous rock attracts climbers from around the world to ascend its many routes to the summit. Frank Sanders has reportedly climbed the tower more than anyone — over a thousand times in the last 33 years. He operates a guide service and a bed and breakfast nearby. Sanders is also an accomplished musician and SNEWS® Live met with him in early May 2007 while he was recording a new album of works on piano. Here’s his story.
