Video: A tribute to Warren Miller

Warren Miller’s legacy will live on through his films and his brand. A video capturing highlights from his long life played for a crowd gathered Thursday night for the Inspiration Awards in the Four Seasons Ballroom at the Convention Center.

In one clip, Miller asks Robert Redford, “How many days did you ski this winter?” And he answers, “Not enough.” Chris Patterson, director and cameraman for Warren Miller Entertainment, spoke a few words about the man that inspired him and so many other snowsports enthusiasts. “Warren and Klaus Obermeyer were passionate about a sport that was really in its infancy and they put their heart into what we are today,” Patterson said. “They did it sheerly for the love of it. I think it’s that passion that we’re all responsible for…We need to share that passion that we have for the sport like they did before us to bring it to what it is today.”
