It was another busy month for the industry.
We can’t deny it—some of the biggest news in November was quite tragic. We lost a beloved member of our community, Jim Ramey, and saw one of our favorite gear shops, Townsend Bertram & Company, say goodbye after 32 years in the business. But there was also good news. We witnessed one of the country’s most forward-thinking retailers become the first specialty outdoor shop to hire a full-time diversity manager. We checked in with store owners across the nation about inventory challenges during the pandemic, and found that most are rising to meet this difficult moment with courage and grace.
In case you missed any of last month’s important headlines, we gathered our top stories in one place to revisit. Here are the articles that drew the most attention in November.
