On June 17, 2020, the Senate passed the Great American Outdoors Act, a bill that guarantees mandatory, permanent financing for the Land and Water Conservation Fund at $900 million a year and sets aside $12 billion to deal with the maintenance backlog on federal public lands.
The bill heads to the House of Representatives for voting on July 22, 2020 and we’re asking you to take two minutes today to email your representative urging support.
“This is the big one,” says Lise Aangeenbrug, executive director of Outdoor Industry Association. “It’s the final legislative step for this bill.”
