Burton Snowboards (www.burton.com) will exhibit at Outdoor Retailer for the first time, announcing plans Oct. 13, to attend the upcoming Winter Market 2012.
The snowboard gear and apparel brand joins a growing list of surf and snow action sports lifestyle companies exhibiting at Outdoor Retailer’s annual winter and summer tradeshows. In the past few years, brands such as Dakine, Quicksilver and Billabong, have joined the events, which are put on by Nielsen Expositions
“Burton is in a great position to benefit from exposure to the active outdoor market OR provides, and to benefit the show itself by attracting retailers from the youth and action sports side of the business,” Outdoor Retailer Show Director Kenji Haroutunian said in a statement. “Consumers are looking for a broad spectrum of brands in traditional outdoor shops. It’s part of a natural progression that has been taking place over the past few years. Burton adds a frontcountry lifestyle appeal, which is a great crossover opportunity with OR’s buyers.”
Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2012 will take place in Salt Lake City Jan. 19-22.
