180s Continues European Expansion with Presence at ISPO 2011

Expanded Fall 2011 glove, ear warmer and accessory lines showcase enhanced technology, performance and fashion.

BALTIMORE, Md. — 180s, a leading outdoor performance apparel and accessories company, is continuing its European expansion with its presence at ispo 2011, taking place next week in Munich, February 6-9 (Booth #509, Hall A3). The company is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its proprietary Tec Touch technology that enables consumers to use touch screen devices without removing their gloves in cold weather.

180s is represented in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Ireland, Belgium and Russia, and is in initial discussions for representation in France, Holland and the Scandinavian countries.

“With technology front and center with European consumers, 180s is well positioned to be a player in the winter technology accessory market,” said Shelley Foland, vice president of sales for 180s. “Not only is this an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with existing distributors, it also enables us to bring 180s to new countries including France, Holland and Scandinavia. This is our third time at this show, which has always proved to be a successful initiative for growing the brand.”

For Fall ‘11, 180s is enhancing its “wired” ear warmers with headphones so that any iPod, iPhone, or MP3 player will be loud, crisp and clear and available in more styles. In addition, 180s has expanded its line with a large selection of matching down gloves and ear warmers and an extensive offering of fashion-forward styles with bold colors and detailing that appeal to the European market, including an authentic Woolrich® plaid.

All new ear warmers for Fall 2011 will feature PrimaLoft® ECO insulation, earth-friendly insulation, made with recycled fibers, offers the warmest, driest, softest and most compressible insulation on the market for added style, comfort and durability.
