19 Brands to Participate in Malakye’s Shmooz at Outdoor Retailer Friday

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (January 20, 2015) – 16 companies are confirmed for the Shmooz, Malakye.com’s one-of-a-kind career fair and networking event this Friday, January 23, 2015. This unique event connects some of the outdoor industry’s top employers with talented job seekers of all different backgrounds and experience levels. Employers will be recruiting for positions in Design, Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, and many other areas as well.

Keen, Bemis, Specialized, Chums, Black Diamond, Polartec, Petzl, Mountainsmith, Carhartt, The North Face, JanSport, Lucy, CamelBak, Sherpa Adventure Gear, One Source Apparel, Vail Resorts Retail, KLIM, and Coalition will gather at the Shmooz to recruit talent for their open positions.

Breanne Buzay, VP of Human Resources at Polartec, will be attending the Shmooz for the first time. When asked why now, Breanne stated, “Polartec is participating in the Shmooz this year because we are always looking for great people to help us make the impossible possible, and there is no better way to get the word out about opportunities within the outdoor industry. Everyone is at OR, and the Shmooz makes it easy!”

This FREE event will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown, and is scheduled from 11am to 3pm. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with industry leading employers for current or future jobs, and also to network with other industry professionals in attendance.

Lena Laakso, HR Manager at Petzl and a long-time Shmooz participant, will be returning for the upcoming event.
