5Point Film Festival Hires Meaghan Lynch as Executive Director

Carbondale, CO (November 21, 2016) –5Point Film Festival announces the hiring of Roaring Fork local, Meaghan Lynch as Executive Director. Lynch joins 5Point after working as a Public Relations Manager at Aspen Skiing Company for the last four years. Prior to her time at Aspen Skiing, Meaghan worked as a corporate accountant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in New York City. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College and a MBA and Masters in Accounting from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Lynch has roots in the Colorado ski industry dating back to her grandfather who managed Breckenridge mountain in the 1970s. She has a deep passion for the outdoors and takes the reins at 5Point after a trip to Nepal where she trekked and did service work rebuilding houses and trekking in the Annapurna area.

“Meaghan is a smart, hard working, talented and engaging leader. She embraces the tenets of 5Point: respect, commitment, humility, purpose and balance and understands film, creativity and community,” explains Penn Newhard, Board Chair at 5Point. “She will help drive 5Point forward as we head toward our 10th anniversary.”

5Point Film Festival is in its tenth season producing its signature four-day festival in Carbondale, CO at the end of April each year. The nonprofit Colorado festival has expanded its regional concert-style festival across the country, with multi-day satellite events in Asheville, NC, and Bellingham, WA and On The Road events in dozens of additional locations. By creating regional hubs across the country, 5Point inspires communities and celebrate their local filmmakers, athletes and artists.

Established in 2008, 5Point Film is on a mission to inspire adventure of all kinds, to connect generations through shared experience, to engage passion with a conscience, and to educate through film.
