(Vancouver, BC) – Local company SOLE, manufacturer of performance footbeds, socks and sandals, will be raising money for the Raise-a-Reader program at this year’s Vancouver Sun Run 10K on April 20. On race day, SOLE, in conjunction with its local retail partners, Alliance Athletics, will be selling its Premium Performance socks at a deeply discounted price, with proceeds of up to $30,000 going to help support children’s literacy in British Columbia.

“We’ve always wanted to participate and support this great event in our home town,” states SOLE founder and president, Mike Baker. “This is a meaningful sponsorship that will truly help some needy kids in our region.”

SOLE Premium Performance Socks feature a technical blend of lightweight and breathable fabrics, instep vents for breathability and an arch band that reduces slippage. They’re perfect for running, cycling and overall foot comfort. A two-pack of the socks retails for $17.95, but at the Sun Run, SOLE will be selling the socks for $3. $1 from the sale of each sock pack will be donated directly to Raise-a-Reader.
