Los Angeles, CA — Hyland’s is pleased to announce that Masters Athlete Morgan Shepherd will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2012 Huntsman World Senior Games. Shepherd will usher in the start of the 2012 Games on Tuesday, October 9, at 7 p.m. at the Hansen Stadium on the campus of Dixie State College. The Huntsman World Senior Games will be held from October 8 – 20 in St. George, Utah and expects an attendance of just over 10,000 athletes.
A legend in the world of stock car racing, Morgan Shepherd is 70 years old and does not let age slow him down. After 45 years, he is still racing in the Nationwide Series. With the mantra of “Be There, Do That,” Hyland’s has partnered up with Morgan to drive home his message of staying active at all ages.
“I’m very passionate about life and what I do and how I can encourage people in some way,” Morgan says. “I’m not in perfect shape, but at 70 years old, I can still drive a racecar at 200 mph and I still have fun on roller skates. So, I’m very passionate about life and what God has allowed me to do.”
