WAPPPINGERS FALLS, NY – Packasport, manufacturer of exceptionally durable rooftop boxes, is expanding its upfitter program, allowing after-market vehicle customization businesses to resell all seven models of its rugged, dependable American-made rooftop cargo carriers.

Long a favorite of the overland and camper van crowd, Packasport is providing competitive wholesale pricing to upfitters who want to provide their customers with additional storage options.

For a limited time, Packasport is offering free shipping of their American-made boxes, a considerable savings that increases the margins upfitters have at their disposal.

Brian Jagodnik, Marketing and Creative Director at Outside Van in Portland, OR., said Packasport boxes are an important offering for those who need additional gear for their adventures.

“Outside Van customer’s really appreciate the variety of sizes of Packasport boxes,” Jagodnik said. “Since all our vans are 100 percent custom per our customers’ specs, selecting the perfect box size for their roof orientation is essential.”

Eric Miller, Co-Founder and President of TouRig van conversion company in Golden, CO., said he’s impressed by Packasport’s “top quality materials, rear opening design and a secure user-friendly latching system.”

At Outside Van, the Apollo, Packasport’s premium, flagship box, is a customer favorite. With 25 cubic feet of storage and Zamp Solar’s 180-watt Obsidian series solar panels on top, it provides plenty of options.

” The Apollo is our favorite Packasport box for obvious reasons,” Jagodnik said. “Since our vans are primarily designed and built to be used off-grid the addition of 180 watts of solar is fantastic. This gives more space on the roof for fans, lights, and additional storage.”

At TouRig, the Apollo is high on the wish list, but Miller notes two other boxes that have become customer favorites. “We use the Trailblazer and Journeyer as they are large and fit nicely on the roof of our vans,” said Miller. “The new Apollo is of interest and might be used in future projects due to the built-in solar panels.”
Unlike other rooftop box manufacturers, Packasport has immediate availability of their full product line, thanks to their domestic manufacturing. While some other rack brands rely on offshore production, Packasport’s products are made in Eugene, OR. Using marine grade fiberglass to ensure unparalleled durability and reduce road noise, Packasport’s line of rooftop boxes have a legion of followers in the ski, off-road, camping and RV communities.

Franco Cefelo, owner of Packasport, can provide details and incorporate interested companies into the upfitter program.  Upfitters can also inquire about becoming a Packasport dealer. Email him directly at franco@packasport.com
