SALT LAKE CITY – Dec. 19, 2012 –AceCamp, a well-known international name in camping equipment and accessories, announced today the opening of a new headquarters in Utah as the company expands to reach U.S. customers.
Led by longtime outdoor industry veteran Michael Beverly, AceCamp LLC will offer a full line of camping equipment including emergency essentials, cookware, outdoor tools like a survival multi-tool shovel and unique products such as Flamesticks ™ – a waterproof firestarter stick.
AceCamp LLC will make its U.S. debut to the industry at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market tradeshow in Salt Lake City, January 23-26, 2013.
“The opportunity to take a company with such a large range of products and success elsewhere in the world and establish it in the U.S. market is very exciting,” said Beverly, who has held positions at The North Face, Easton Mountain Products, Chisco and Chums. “Right now we have the best of both worlds; we can be nimble like a new company to provide the best products and programs to our retailers, but we have the resources of an established brand with 12 years of history.”
AceCamp is currently looking for independent sales reps and distributors and will be approaching specialty outdoor retailers, as well as larger sporting goods outlets, in the coming months. A fully redesigned U.S. website, with product information and videos is expected to launch in January 2013.
Prior to its U.S.-opening, AceCamp established itself as a leading brand in Asia 12 years ago and launched in Europe in 2008. AceCamp International as well as the U.S. division, is owned and founded by Ray Hou.
“AceCamp products are available in more than a dozen countries and the quality of our products and the consumer demand for them has an incredible track record, so we expect big things in the U.S. market,” said Beverly.
In addition to the AceCamp brand, the U.S. office will also oversee Munkees, a more playful brand that manufactures a line of keychains with additional uses such as bottle openers, multi tools and compasses.
AceCamp outdoor equipment is currently available to retailers directly and through distributor Liberty Mountain. For more information about the company or to inquire about sales opportunities, contact Michael Beverly at mike@acecamp.com.
