Outdoor Retailer’s Biggest Dirtbag Wins $100 Cash Prize and Dirtbag Schwag Bag
(Fairfield, CA – August 5, 2013) – Action Wipes (http://www.actionwipes.com), a true shower alternative designed for outdoor enthusiasts, backpackers, campers, travelers, and athletes, is proud to announce Evan Pederson as the winner of its inaugural Dirtbag Challenge, an event that took place at Outdoor Retailer’s Open Air Demo at Pineview Reservoir on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
With the Dirtbag Challenge, Action Wipes was on a mission to hear about people’s dirtiest adventures, including the longest number of consecutive days they had ever gone without a shower. The fun, offbeat event drew hundreds of people to the Action Wipes booth, where attendees learned more about the growing company and tested out the Action Wipes product line firsthand. The company snapped photos of the “Dirtbags of Demo Day” and posted them to their Facebook page through out the day.
Action Wipes randomly selected Evan as the biggest “dirtbag” from a large of pool of entries and awarded him the prize of $100 and a Dirtbag Schwag Bag at Outdoor Retailer. Evan, who is based in Palmer, Alaska, was at Outdoor Retailer with Backpacker Magazine as part of its highly coveted “Reader Reporter” team, scouting out the latest and greatest outdoor gear. Evan listed canoeing the Yellowstone River as his favorite dirtiest adventure to date, with 8-days being the longest he’s ever gone without taking a shower.
Following the success of Open Air Demo, Action Wipes is taking its Dirtbag Challenge to future events and tradeshows. The next Dirtbag Challenge is slated for Interbike’s OutDoor Demo, taking place September 16-17, 2013.
