Terrex, adidas Outdoor’s lightweight, fast, athletic collection for high-performance activities, has expanded for use across a range of sports
LOS ANGELES (January 12, 2016) – adidas Outdoor, the athletic brand in the outdoors, introduced the Terrex Exclusive apparel collection for fall/winter 2016 at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, Jan. 7 – 10 in Salt Lake City. The entire line features the highest performing technologies and brand components, now especially designed for a wider range of outdoor activities. This top-of-the-line performance collection for men and women includes rain and wind jackets, insulated jackets, fleeces, mid-layers, pants and shorts.
“Terrex has been a central part of our line since our launch in the U.S.,” said Greg Thomsen, managing director, adidas Outdoor U.S. “It has always stood for the best of the best and engineered for the toughest conditions. We chose to expand this offering, bringing it to a wider scope of athletes and consumers that want functional, all-around high-performance pieces that can be used during multiple activities. The design process included input from our global athletes, who because of the nature of their activities, demand the lightest and fastest materials.”
Terrex Exclusive expands its use of top performance brand partners including GORE-TEX® (pro shell), Pertex® (Pertex® Equilibrium and Pertex Quantum® GL), Polartec® (alpha, high loft®, power dry, power grid, power shield® and power wool™) and PrimaLoft® (gold insulation). Additionally, the collection features adidas proprietary technologies including Climaheat™ and Formotion™. Together, these design components produce versatile and lightweight products that have a progressive, modern style for hiking, climbing, trail running, mountain biking and snow sport activities in all weather conditions.
New additions to the Terrex Exclusive line include the Terrex Climaheat Techrock Hooded Fleece, Terrex Radical Crew Neck Jacket, Terrex Radical Hoodie, Terrex Skyclimb Pant, Terrex Solo Wool Hoodie and the Terrex Techrock Winter Pant. Re-designed styles include the Terrex Agravic PrimaLoft Jacket, Terrex Agravic Shorts, Terrex Climaheat Agravic Down Hooded Jacket, Terrex Climaheat Techrock Hooded Jacket, Terrex Skyclimb Top, Terrex Solo Shorts and Terrex Techrock GTX Jacket.
As a leader in this category, adidas Outdoor is partnering with the Aspen Alpine Guides (AAG), a professional guide service in Aspen, Colo. adidas Outdoor enlists the guides to test its Terrex Exclusive apparel to provide feedback after testing the gear over hundreds of days in all climates and conditions.
