Allen Sports, innovator of premium trailer-joggers and bike racks, launches its first Ambassador Team with an impressive roster: Ironman Triathlon World Champion and new mother, Mirinda “Rinny” Carfrae, and Karen Smyers, the 1995 Ironman World Champion, three-time International Triathlon World Champion, as well as a mother and prolific triathlon coach and speaker.
Since its inception in 1967, Allen Sports has had a steadfast interest and commitment to serving multi-sport athletes and communities, especially those that support families and living an active lifestyle. The company has long been eager to launch an Ambassador Team and is proud to have partnered with two tremendously talented and successful athletes, who are also dedicated parents.
“My partnership with Allen Sports Baby Jogger is a perfect fit, and makes my new mom life so much easier,” Carfrae said. “The aluminum jogger is lightweight and folds up fast, which is a huge help since I’m busy with Izzy and also getting back into shape, so I’ll be ready to race next year. I’m hoping my runs with my baby girl will give me even more strength, speed, and motivation for Kona 2018!”
Allen Sports proudly sponsors athletes with impressive accolades, as well as athletes who are also eminent in their field as thought leaders, speakers, event organizers, mentors and coaches. And there couldn’t be a more exemplary person than Smyers, a USA Triathlon Hall of Fame Inductee, mother of two, cancer survivor, TEDxBeaconStreet speaker, Lincoln Kids Triathlon organizer and world-class coach.
“For more than the three decades that I’ve been in this sport, I’ve learned and seen a lot. Through my personal successes and struggles, to the birth of my two children, surviving an 18-wheeler crash on my bike, to beating cancer— yet I have always found that my passion for training and competing in triathlons was the key to bounce back from any obstacle. And I’ve been lucky enough with the help of my sponsors to have outlets and platforms to share those stories and lessons with countless triathletes and people of diverse backgrounds. So, I know a good company when I see one — which is why I couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Allen Sports, a true believer in the benefits of getting outside, being active and spreading the joy of it all.”
Allen Sports, proving its commitment to promoting an active lifestyle at all ages and levels through key sponsorships of organizations such as the Lincoln Kids Triathlon, will also support its sponsored professional athletes’ travels to races and events, such as the recent Kona Ironman.
“For years, we’ve been waiting patiently for the right time to strike, so we could properly launch an Ambassador Team that supports prominent athletes with voices in the industry,” said Allen Sports President, Alex Allen. “We want to continue to expand as a household brand name for multi-sport athletes, runners, bikers, weekend warriors and families, alike. Allen Sports was founded decades ago by my dad with the intention of making our family trips easier, as we’re a family who loves the outdoors. So to make traveling and transporting a bunch of bikes easier, he invented a bike-carrying-device for his car, which we’ve since developed. And to stay true to our roots, we’re happy to support people who also inspire others to get outside and be active.”
Allen Sports will also be adding more athletes and influencers to Ambassador Team in the coming weeks and months. For more information on Allen Sports or for Ambassador Team inquiries, please contact: Kelsey Anderson, Kelsey@OutsidePR.com
