American Rec hires Scott Kaier

Scott to head media relations and communications for all American Rec brands,including Kelty, Sierra Designs, Slumberjack, Ultimate Direction, and ISIS



BOULDER, COLO. (For Immediate Release)- American Rec (www.americanrec.com), parent company for 12 iconic outdoor brands, has hired Scott Kaier to the newly created in-house public relations manager position.



Starting on December 1, 2011, Scott will be responsible for public relations and media communications for all American Rec brands with a primary focus on Kelty, Sierra Designs, Ultimate Direction, Slumberjack, ISIS, and American Rec corporate PR. The new job will have Scott relocating from Vermont to Boulder, Colorado.



“With our growing stable of brands, ongoing innovation, and a wide range of product categories, it makes perfect sense for American Rec to have an in-house public relations manager,” said Sue Timbo, marketing director with American Rec. “After having worked with Kelty and Sierra Designs as clients at an agency level, Scott’s knowledge of the brands and the company makes him an ideal candidate for the job.”



Scott comes to American Rec after more than six years with premier outdoor industry public relations agency Pale Morning Media. While there, Scott worked extensively with several American Rec brands, working most extensively with Kelty and Sierra Designs.
