Andrew Day Named Sierra Designs Vice President & General Manager

May 20, 2019—BOULDER, COLORADO—Andrew Day has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Sierra Designs, announced Harry Kazazian, CEO of Exxel Outdoors, the brand’s parent company.
“We could not be more excited to have Andrew take the helm of Sierra Designs,” commented Kazazian. “He has the experience, drive and talent to lead the brand in its exciting new, far-reaching directions.
Day will spearhead Sierra Designs’ ongoing pursuit of “Thinking Outside,” while cultivating the brand’s successful retail partnerships with groups like Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, through which it offers select gear pieces exclusively to Grassroots Retailers.
“I’m looking forward to continuing Sierra Designs’ original heritage mission – creating equipment that nourishes outdoor enjoyment for adventurers of all levels, offering backcountry and car camping setups with incredible value, trail-friendliness, and comfort,” Day remarked.
Day brings to the position 24 years of management and product experience in the outdoor industry, most recently for Sierra Designs and Kelty. He has extensive expertise in brand leadership, category merchandising, product development, sourcing, and purchasing. Day is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.
