“Andy is a consummate specialty sports trade show professional,†said Joe Flynn, vice president of marketing and business development for Nielsen Business Media’s Retail Group, HFB’s parent company. “He has a deep understanding of the sports retail and brand landscape, as well as the needs of exhibitors and specialty retailers as they participate in trade shows.â€
Tompkins fills the vacancy left by Lance Camisasca, who left HFB in January to form Lifeboat Solutions, an event management, sales and marketing firm.
Tomkins will work together with HFB Sales Manager Andria Klinger and Account Executive Brian McKavic to ensure that Health+Fitness Business Expo and Convention meets the business needs of show partners, attendees and exhibitors.

As Interbike’s show director, he will work with Camisasca, who is providing key industry input, and advocacy consulting services for that show. Tompkins will also continue to serve as show director for ASR.
