“What drew me to Anomaly’s Shred and Slytech brands is their focus on developing best-in-class technologies and their mission to create an outstanding, customer-focused operation,” said Gilberti. “I was compelled to join this great young company because of the spirit, drive, and commitment of each of the individuals in the organization.”

Most recently Gilberti served as senior vice president at Fox Head. He also held senior positions at Toms Eyewear, Burton Snowboards’ Anon Optics and RED Helmet divisions, Spy Optics, and Smith Optics.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add Jeff to our team of executives,” says co-founder and Chairman Ted Ligety. “His experience and knowledge of our space are incredible.”

“There could not be a better time for Jeff to be joining our company,” adds co-founder and CEO Carlo Salmini. “We have an amazing plan that will set us apart and we look forward to Jeff’s contribution to make Shred and Slytech the brands of the future.”

Olympic gold medalist and world champion alpine skier Ligety and Massachusetts Institute of Technology-educated Salmini formed Anomaly Action Sports in 2006.

At next week’s Interbike trade show in Las Vegas, Nev., Shred will be debut three new helmets using the company’s patented Infinite R.A.A.™ system, which minimizes the effects of rotational accelerations to the head during impact, and introduce other proprietary distortion- and fog-free eyewear designs.
