Another Year of Strong Sales Growth for GoLite in 2010

After 2009’s exceptional growth, today GoLite reported sales for 2010 were up another 27% annually. GoLite credits this to the continued improvement in its product offering, the successful launch of its adventure travel apparel & equipment collection and a brand story of “doing more with less†that is resonating with consumers globally. A significant increase in its dealer base and growth in direct to consumer revenue also contributed to a strong 2010. “Investments we made in product development and other operational strategies the past several years are really paying off,†said Demetri Coupounas, GoLite President. “We are very optimistic about 2011 and look forward to bringing to market several more ‘home-run’ outdoor and travel products that will continue to set us apart from the competition.â€
Fall 2011 New Product Highlights
GoLite is introducing several new high performance outerwear pieces to the Fall Collection including the Ashdown Pro Shell Jacket – a premium Gore-Tex® jacket for all weather conditions and the lightweight, breathable and waterproof Currant Mountain Paclite Jacket. Sure to be a big hit is the new Bitterroot 850 Fill Down Jacket featuring the very light Pertex Quantum GL fabric. The hooded Bitterroot weighs less than ¾’s of a pound (370 g) making it GoLite’s lightest down jacket.
Over two-thirds of GoLite products contain recycled or other eco-friendly materials. The new Cady Synthetic Insulated Jackets and Vests feature cool retro styling and are made with 100% recycled fabrics. Also made with recycled fabrics are the Granite Creek Trinity Bonded Softshell Jackets featuring street-ready styling with technical fabrication.
Capitalizing on the successful adventure travel category, new travel introductions for fall include multi-functional outerwear pieces as well as several sophisticated and flattering men’s and women’s tops perfectly suited for travel and every day.
