Salt Lake City, Utah — Aquapac, makers of 100 percent waterproof protective cases and Brunton, famous for their diverse line of portable power and camp stoves, will host a proper English Breakfast at Aquapac’s Open Air Demo booth (D445) on Aug. 1 at Summer Outdoor Retailer.
A celebration of all things British, Aquapac and Brunton Outdoors are all sorted to begin serving a free breakfast at 8 a.m. Mountain Time. Breakfast includes meats, eggs, veggies, beans and a spot of tea. Special guest of honor will be British author, seasoned adventurer and record-breaker Dave Cornthwaite, who was named the 2012 Aquapac Outdoor Champion earlier this year.
Cornthwaite set a Guinness World Record for travelling the furthest distance by longboard after skateboarding 3,618 miles from Perth to Brisbane in Australia in 2006. His 2,404-mile descent down the Mississippi River on a stand up paddleboard last year is also a long-distance SUP world record. Currently he is deep into the planning phases of his next expedition – a 1,000-mile swim down the lower Missouri River after OR concludes. After the Missouri swim, the 2012 Aquapac Outdoor Champion will attempt long-distance expeditions on horseback, a cross-trainer with wheels, a paraglider and a recumbent bike with a sail.
If this sort of thing is your bag, baby, join Aquapac and Brunton Outdoors at the Open Air Demo at Jordanelle State Park on Aug. 1 for a free English breakfast. Quantities are limited – It’s a ye olde first-come, first-serve breakfast.
God save the Queen!
