EAST NORWICH, New York – Aquapac, manufacturers of waterproof cases, drybags and duffels, heads to next week’s 2013 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market trade show in Salt Lake City with a full schedule of events designed to let retailers, buyers, distributors and media help the British company celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Building on its existing line of 100 percent waterproof and durable dry bags, Aquapac will showcase six new products at Summer OR – the Upano Waterproof Duffel, Aquapac PackDivider Drysacks, new sizes to the popular Wet & Dry Backpacks, the new Stormproof™ Messenger bag, the new Submersible System Camera Case and Aquapac Puncture Patches. Together, these new products form a completely waterproof organization system fit to accompany you on any and all of your wettest adventures.
The new products will be first displayed in full at the Open Air Demo being held at Pineview Reservoir on July 30. An added bonus: Aquapac will be providing (FREE) light breakfast fare (including coffee) for those who arrive early at the Open Air Demo and stop by the Aquapac tent.
Aquapac’s booth on the floor of the Salt Palace for the OR show will also be a bustling place. In addition to the new products, Aquapac’s booth (#36099) will be graced by Emily Penn, world-class sailor, oceans advocate and plastic pollutions expert. Penn is Aquapac’s 2013 Outdoor Champion, and OR will serve as the launch of a co-sponsored trip giveaway for time aboard Penn’s expedition sailing vessel “Sea Dragon.”
And as one final enticement, Aquapac will host a proper gin & tonic cocktail hour from 4:30-6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 in booth #36099. The cocktail hour is a celebration of sorts. Aquapac was founded in 1983 – 30 years ago – by a group of windsurfers who needed protection for their Sony Walkmans while on the water.
“We certainly feel that between new products, Emily Penn and our giveaway, the breakfast at the Open Air Demo and the cocktail party we will provide opportunities to deepen our relationships with folks in the outdoor industry,” said Tim Turnbull, CEO of Aquapac. “It’s an exciting time here at Aquapac and we can think of no better place to share that excitement than at Outdoor Retailer.”
