OYSTER BAY, New York (For immediate release) – Aquapac, experts at keeping consumer electronics and important documents dry, enters a new arena in waterproof protection with the introduction of the Wet & Dry Backpack for 2009.
Featuring a large internal pocket that lets users keep wet items separated from dry items, the 100 percent waterproof special edition Wet & Dry Backpack also has a reinforced back support system, a quick-access key pocket and several lash points.
“The number of uses for our new backpack are astounding,†said Tim Turnbull, CEO of Aquapac International. “From going to the beach, paddling a canoe, commuting on a bicycle or a simple hiking excursion, the ability to separate wet items and dry items in a spacious bag is a tremendous benefit.â€
As an example of the functionality of the internal pocket, Turnbull points out it is capable of carrying a pair of mud-soaked hiking boots on one side of the pocket and a laptop computer on the other.
“I’m sure,†Turnbull said, “a wide array of outdoor recreational users will find this backpack a vital piece of gear.â€
The Wet & Dry Backpack, with 1,525 cubic inches (25 liters) of room, has a 3-roll sealing system that makes the bag submersible. With a retail price of $95, the backpack (empty weight of 22.5 ounces) is expected to be a cornerstone product for Aquapac.
