Arc’teryx Appoints Irvine as New Director of International Sales
A force behind the company’s Sports Marketing efforts since 2003, John Irvine leaves his post as the legendary Global Sports Marketing Manager to become Director of International Sales.

North Vancouver, B.C. – Arc’teryx Equipment Inc., designers and manufacturers of technically superior outerwear, backpacks, and climbing harnesses is proud to announce the promotion of John Irvine to Director of International Sales.
A longtime Arc’teryx employee, Irvine has been a force behind the company’s Sports Marketing efforts since 2003 and leaves his post as the legendary Global Sports Marketing Manager. In his new role, Irvine will be responsible for the development and management of all sales activities for all Arc’teryx products in Asia-Pacific, further using his skills to identify key business partners that will successfully sell Arc’teryx products worldwide.
No stranger to the retail world, Irvine worked as a hardgoods buyer for Mountain Equipment Co-op prior to his experience with Arc’teryx and brings with him a strong technical and sales background with multi-seasonal and multi-disciplinary products. An excellent skier, climber, cyclist and waterman, Irvine has extensive hands-on product knowledge as well as exceptional organizational skills.
