Nearly 20 years ago, Astral’s founder, Philip Curry, created the first lifevest that incorporated princess seams. That design was and still is widely regarded as the best-fitting women’s lifejacket ever. Twenty years later, Astral is excited to introduce the Layla™, a modernized version of that original and beloved design.
The Layla features hinged princess seams, a cupped chest, and ultra-conformable kapok buoyancy for a secure, wrapping fit for curvy bodies. It is a serious multi-tasker featuring a central divided pocket, lashing point, and a rescue harness that can optionally be attached. The Layla is available in three feminine colorways, and includes the very special Astral Flower decal.
“We are so excited to modernize this legendary design,” stated Astral VP Sales & Marketing Christie Dobson. “The new and growing generation of women paddlers will be psyched to now have a PFD that is truly suited to fit their shape and size.”
The Layla hits retail shelves early March. MSRP $139.95. For more information on Astral and their collection of performance footwear and best in class PFDs, contact Mandy Giles at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.astraldesigns.com.
