New line touts lightweight, comfortable trail performance
Seattle, Wash. (January 20, 2015) – With its 25th anniversary celebration this year, Atlas Snow-Shoe Co. is introducing a brand new snowshoe series to its ever-evolving model line. The Atlas Trail Series, launching in 2015, will feature three distinct models for both men and women, engineered to enhance the snowshoeing experience on flat, rolling, and steeper trails respectively.
The new Atlas Trail Series showcases the brand’s Light-Ride™ Suspension (LRS), designed specifically to shed weight and maximize comfort on the trail. Light-Ride™ Suspension has proven to be the perfect solution for delivering time-tested Atlas articulation, in a lighter weight design that focuses on enhanced comfort and smooth-striding performance rather than the technical precision of the brand’s flagship Spring-Loaded™ Suspension system (SLS). In addition to LRS, Atlas’ Trail Series models also feature more streamlined traction, giving the security and confidence needed to tackle the trail without adding unnecessary weight under foot.
“With the new Trail Series, we’re taking the opportunity to relook at the way we approach our model line. We’ve moved away from our Free-Rotating Suspension in favor of LRS and in so doing have simplified the look and feel of the full Atlas snowshoe line,” states Chris McCullough, Global Brand Manager, K2 Outdoor Group. “Our consumers now have a simple choice, am I looking for high alpine, technical precision combined with more aggressive traction or a little more forgiving, smooth-striding comfort from my snowshoes? Atlas answers back with its now complete lines within each of the categories, trail, mountain and backcountry.”
