Atlas Snow-Shoe Company Expands Team with Race, Adventure Divisions

Seattle, Wash. (December 18, 2014) — The impressiveAtlas Snow-Shoe Company Race Team expands in 2015 to include the new Atlas Adventure Team. Atlas has built the Adventure Team to include brand enthusiasts that will span the US outdoor and snow sports industries.

For almost two decades, the Atlas Race Team has been at the forefront of snowshoe races and events. From National Championships to local clinics, Atlas has been the most represented brand on snow with more podium finishes than any other team. Atlas team members have promoted the sport of snowshoeing by engaging the community and increasing awareness for snowshoe racing.

This year, with the addition of the Atlas Adventure Team, Atlas deepens its bench of snowshoe enthusiasts. From outdoor photographers to professional snowboarders, the Atlas Adventure Team will be a positive source of product testing and feedback for the brand.

Since its founding in 1995, the Atlas Race Team is now among the largest in the industry. Race Team Captain Adam Chase has been wearing Atlas yellow since the team’s inception; he was its very first member. Having joined the team in 2014, professional ultra-trail runner Sage Canaday has found snowshoe racing to be the best way to remain in elite shape during the winter months.

The Atlas Adventure Team brings a new element of outdoor enthusiasm to the brand. Adventure Team member Ian Coble is one of the outdoor industry’s most sought after photographers. Ian frequently finds himself amidst challenging terrain, and when skis aren’t an option, he relies on snowshoes to get the perfect shot. Likewise, professional snowboarder Alex Cantin looks to his Atlas Aspects for gaining access to the backcountry.
