Auburn, California to Host the 2015 Ultra Race of Champions

October 20th, 2014, Auburn, CA- The Ultra Race of Champions (UROC) has announced its most anticipated relocation beginning in 2015: Auburn, California, the Endurance Capital of the World. Following its mission to create the Championship for the sport of ultra distance running and maintaining the inclusive quality of the sport, the UROC Race Committee has selected Auburn as its new host location because of Auburn’s long history with endurance races and plethora of accessible and beautiful trails along the American River and on the foothills of the Sierra. “Auburn is well equipped and well versed for endurance races, already hosting several long distance running and biking events” says Gill, the Event Organizer. “The area is extremely beautiful and easily accessible from San Francisco, Sacramento and Reno and has all the qualities and amenities we looked for when searching for a new host location of this Championship event.”

“There are two big reasons to be excited about the UROC endurance event coming to Auburn.” Says Bridget Powers, Mayor of Auburn. “First, as an endurance runner, it will be an incredible canyon adventure for the running community. Second, the City of Auburn and its residents are always game for new challenges that showcase our great community.
