Austin Canoe and Kayak Announces 10th Annual Spring Demo Days

Austin, Texas (March 10, 2015) – Outdoor retailer, Austin Canoe and Kayak (ACK), a division of MSP Holdings, LLC, announces its 10th Annual Spring Demo Days & Outdoor Exposition. A total of four events will be held in locations based around ACK’s physical store locations with Houston and San Marcos/San Antonio on April 11th and 12th and Austin and North Houston (Spring) on the 18th and 19th.
The annual event is designed to give both novice and expert paddlers an opportunity to demo a combination of over 80 kayaks, canoes and stand up paddleboards on the water as well as attend informative and educational clinics. Representatives from all the major paddlesport manufacturers will be in attendance to help answer questions, talk shop and offer guidance while demoing their products on the water. In addition to the demos, educational seminars will take place throughout the day by knowledgeable ACK staff members and select industry manufacturers covering topics such as “How To Paddle”, “Fly Fishing from a Kayak”, and “Kayak Fishing”.
“There is no one-size-fits-all kayak or canoe and that’s exactly why we host Demo Days. We want our customers to get a true feel for how a kayak paddles and what is comfortable for them” explains ACK CEO, Peter Messana. “The best way to achieve this is to physically get out on the water and paddle a few options. Demo Days gives people the convenience of doing just that with a large selection of makes and models all at once.”
ACK’s Kayak Demo Days & Outdoor Exposition is held in the Spring and Fall seasons. Running for its 10th consecutive year, this event is free and open to the general public. Additional information and maps to each location can be found at www.austinkayak.com/demo.
