Reno/Sparks, Nev. â€“ After a record-breaking year in sales volume, Aventura has expanded upon its growing popularity with new designs and fabrics, including a swim-friendly line expansion for its targeted market segment. To be unveiled at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market on Aug. 10-13 in Salt Lake City, Aventura’s spring 2007 release will offer women even more recreational and outdoor clothing that is both fashionable and functional.
Designed especially for active women between the ages of 30 and 50 who value affordable yet fun fashion, the spring 2007 Aventura line leads with items that feature SPF treated materials for ultimate skin protection from the sun’s harmful rays and organic cotton fabrics â€“ including stretch organics – to reinforce Aventura’s commitment to the environment.
With the launch of the Aventura brand in spring 2006, Sportif USA, who created the line, saw their sales in women’s clothing grow by 25 percent.
â€The popularity of Aventura has exceeded the expectations of the line,â€ said Tom Williamson, vice president of marketing of Aventura and Sportif USA. â€œWe will continue to accommodate our customers’ needs and wants desired in their clothing.â€
Featured New Items in the Spring 2007 Aventura Clothing Line:
Aventura will introduce a new chlorine safe, SPF-protected extension of their spring 2007 line that is both fashionable and functional whether at the park or the pool. Aventura’s â€œswim friendlyâ€ Skyler tank, water tee, halter and brief will be unveiled at the OR Summer Market and is available in six color and pattern variations, featuring the creative design and â€œreal world womanâ€ comfort for which Aventura is known. Aventura’s chlorine safe line fashionably complements the Nevis water shorts and capris already found within the Aventura family.
Light weight and durable, Aventura’s Vega 3/4 Sleeve Tunic is made from 100 percent organic cotton. Designed to allow an airy feel with maximum comfort, the Vega features a stylish wooden bead on the end of two tie string located at the front of the shirt. The Vega is available in three colors including white, south sea and apple green.
Aventura’s number one selling item, the Tullulah Skort, is back in the spring 2007 line with a new twist. Featuring a wrap around the front and back, customers continue to rave about the comfortable feel and stylish look this item supplies. Available in nine colors including two colorful and creative prints, the skort is made from 100 percent polyester and includes a six-inch short inseam and a 14-inch wrap length.
Deciding whether to wear pants or shorts can be a difficult decision. Aventura’s Reece Convertible Pant/Short gives women the flexibility to wear both. With three colors to select from, the pant features a zipper for the pant leg that allows for the item to switch from a pant to a short in a matter of seconds and vice versa. Made with a 32-inch inseam pant and a five-inch short, the Reece Convertible is made from 100 percent nylon and contains a contrast mesh inside stitching. This item is perfect for outdoor trails.
Created with a fun and unique flower print, the Sheridan Halter Top and Short Sleeve are made with 90 percent organic cotton. Both items also contain 10 percent elasthane to allow for a stretch for the perfect fit and comfort. The halter top has an open back and contains a built-in bra. The short sleeve shirt features a distinctive shirring down both sides of the shirt that can be adjusted to create a desired look and feel. The Sheridan Dress is a beautiful sun dress designed with the same creative print as the halter top and short sleeve and is made with 97 percent organic cotton. The dress has a zipper in the back and measures 42-inches from the shoulder to the bottom of the dress.
A truly one of a kind item, Aventura’s Sumara Board Short and Skirt feature a print that will look different on each individual item due to the large design of the print selected for the Sumara collection. Made from 100 percent polyester the short and skirt are available in two color schemes allowing for easy mixing and matching with various other Aventura items. The short has an 11-inch inseam and the skirt has a 16-inch length-graded.
â€œFunction is king, but fashion is the queen at Aventura,â€ said Desiree Amor, Aventura’s spring 2007 clothing designer. â€œThis line brings together affordability, comfort, easy care and unique and clever designs into a single clothing line. We listened to our customers and designed our line to make this line uniquely theirs.â€
Also at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, Sportif USA, who created Aventura, will launch its 2007 men’s clothing line that features mostly items made from organic materials. Many of the items also feature SPF materials for skin protection.
â€œEnvironmental preservation as well as protecting our customers’ skin is of major importance to the Sportif family,â€ said Williamson. â€œWe are excited to expand our efforts with the major growth in popularity of organic and SPF clothing.â€
