Boulder, Colo. (For Immediate Release): Starting this summer, there will be three more locations for kids and families to take advantage of Avid4 Adventure summer adventure camps.

The mission of Avid4 Adventure is to provide kids and teens with the skills and confidence to choose active outdoor lifestyles. They transport campers to authentic local recreation areas and teach them to climb, bike, paddle, hike and thrive in the outdoors.

“Fundamentally, we get kids outside and away from screens,” said Avid4 CEO Paul Dreyer. “And perhaps even more importantly, we teach kids and teens to assess risks, use sound judgment, and believe in their abilities.”

Through summer day camps, overnight camps, expeditions, and events, Avid4 Adventure inspires tens of thousands of kids and teens every year to lead active lifestyles.

Next summer in Bend, Seattle, and Minneapolis, Avid4 will be opening day camps that serve kids aged 5-12 years old. The company hopes to bring its overnight camp offerings to these communities in the near future. You can find more specifics about these three new locations in this recent blog article.

Avid4 Adventure was founded in 2004 in Boulder, CO. In 2019, they operated 21 locations of summer camps in three states (Colorado, California, and Oregon). In 2020, they will have 25 locations across five states.

In addition to opening new day camp locations, in 2020 Avid4 will also be expanding their overnight expedition camps – now offering week-long expeditions in the California Sierras.

Avid4 CEO Paul Dreyer: “It is our responsibility at Avid4 Adventure to be a part of larger, national conversations around things like equity and diversity in our natural environments and competitive compensation for all in the outdoor industry. To be of value in those national conversations, we need to have a local presence in more urban areas across our country.”

Avid4 Adventure day and overnight camps give kids not only a safe place to start outdoors, but all the room to grow as participants build skills in a wide range of adventure sports, from mountain biking to hiking, kayaking to rock climbing. This runs the gamut of age groups, from encouraging a 3-year-old to find balance on a Strider bike, to teaching a 12-year-old to navigate singletrack or paddle through rapids. Avid4 camps build the determination, confidence and grit necessary to thrive not only in the outdoors, but in daily life.
