Boulder, Colo. (For Immediate Release): Avid4 Adventure, the nation’s leading outdoor adventure camp empowering kids through outdoor activity, is letting parents know that all of its day camps in their previous formats have been adapted to meet strict health requirements set forth by states in the face of the current pandemic response. And that these newly created adventure camp offerings will be just as rewarding if not even more personalized.

Standing out amongst the competition with its unique approach to risk assessment, innovative learning progression, and world-class staff, Avid4 Adventure has helped nurture an extraordinary number of future outdoorists and environmental stewards.

“Most importantly, we must do what is right for the public health of our families, our staff, and our greater communities. ” said Avid4 Adventure CEO Paul Dreyer. “Through proactive policies and procedures and following the guidelines put forth by the American Camp Association and the CDC, we will run camps that appropriately control and minimize the exposure and spread of COVID-19 and still allow for a positive outdoor experience.”

“We know that this summer is going to look different for all of us,” continued Dreyer. “Summer camps will be different. However, our alternative camps will still embody our Avid4 Adventure core values.”

Avid4 Adventure resident camps have been cancelled for the summer. However, the beloved Expedition Camps in Colorado and California, which are already small group and self-contained by nature, will run, but are starting 2 weeks later than originally scheduled.

Here are the three brand new alternative Day Camp offerings parents can take advantage of booking right now:

Avid4 Small Group Adventures

This is the option for the most “risk tolerant” parent. Beginning June 15, small groups of 4 to 5 kids plus one health-screened expert instructor will meet Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. Activities will include Avid’s core technical sports: climbing, mountain biking, and paddling (SUP and kayak). Drop-off and pick-up will take place at the recreation site (trailheads, etc.). Avid4 Camp at Home

The new Camp at Home program is a week of customized day camp that comes to you. With the group of 4 kids of your choosing, a health-screened expert instructor will come to your home, delivering a highly customized curriculum for your kids that may include: Survival Skills, Biking, Outdoor Cooking, Map & Compass, Campsite Planning and Setup, Hiking, Nature Crafts and more. Activities will be facilitated in and around your home and also local parks and green spaces. Parents book this whole group so they can be assured to know what kids are in the group. Avid4 Online Camp

Taking place Monday through Friday for 2.5 hours per day, parents can choose either an AM or PM option for these innovative and interactive adventure experiences. All activities are designed to take place around your home and backyard with a list of readily available supplies provided in advance. Virtual camps will be tailored by age group with activities to include Yoga, Music, Outdoor Art Projects, Games, First Aid Skills, Equipment Repair, Outdoor Adventure Planning and more. These camps are already up and running and registration is ongoing! Learn more about Online Camps.

Now more than ever, Avid4 prides themselves on building confidence and bringing the fun by providing campers with the right environment, equipment and experience for outdoor activities that will fuel them the rest of their lives.
