Award winning film, Jeff Lowe's Metanoia screens TODAY 4:30 and 7:30 at UMOCA, Thursday 7:30 at Outdoor Inspiration Awards

Adidas Outdoor, The Jeff Lowe Mountain Foundation and Outdoor Retailer are pleased to present 3 private screenings of the award winning documentary film, Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia, narrated by Jon Krakauer and directed by Jim Aikman .

Wednesday January 21 and 22 – Today at 4:30pm and 7:30pm, Wednesday January 21 with a special reception from 6 to 7:30pm, all at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (right next to Salt Palace near visitors center). Come and meet Jeff Lowe, Connie Self, the film’s producer and Jim Aikman, the director. A Live Question and Answer session will follow each screening. Adidas Outdoor and Outdoor Retailer will present a 3rd screening immediately following the Outdoor Inspiration Awards on Thursday January 22, in Room 250 of the Salt Palace at approximately 7:30pm. This years winner of the Outdoor Inspiration Lifetime Achievement Award – John Roskelley – will introduce the film and Jeff Lowe,who is last years Lifetime Achievement Award winner and is featured in the film. Don’t miss this! OR Badges are required for this final screening at OR and will be seated on a first come, first served basis.

The USA Premier of Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia will be on March 7, 2015-at the Boulder International Film Festival in Boulder, Colorado. Advance Tickets for Premium Seats are available for $100 as a fundraiser. All proceeds go directly to Jeff and Connie. 

Narrated by Jon Krakauer, this inspirational film explores the life and climbs of legendary alpinist, Jeff Lowe from the top of the world to the end of the line, including his final dance with a terminal disease. Jeff continues to inspire as he speaks through his IPAD and computer generated voice during the Q and A with his characteristic wit and sense of humor. You won’t want to miss these rare appearances by Jeff Lowe at all 3 screenings.

 A Finalist at the Banff Mountain Film Festival in November, the World Premier of Jeff Lowe’s Metanoiawas honored by it’s first audience who rose to their feet 3 times for unprecedented repeated standing ovations at Banff. Two weeks later at the prestigious Kendal Mountain Festival in the UK, Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia won Best Mountaineering Film. Special Thanks to Vasque, Red Wing Shoes, Camelbak, Lowe Alpine, Chris Ford, The Banff Mtn Film Festival and Kendal Mtn Festival for making it possible for Connie, Jeff and Jim to travel to these two very important film festivals.
