September 28, 2009 (Carbondale, Colo.)—Backbone Media, a full service public relations and media buying firm based in Carbondale, Colorado, announces the addition of two new staff members to the Carbondale office and a move for the firm’s Jackson Hole contingent.
Megan Perkins moved from Australia to the western U.S. in 2000, and joins Backbone as the Operations Manager with a background in teaching and graphic design. Hillary Procknow comes to Backbone from Boulder, Colorado after previous stints at Skiing and Alpinist magazines. She brings previous ski industry experience as a race coach, ski patroller, and big-mountain competitor to the Spyder account, and will also be working for the non-profit 1% for the Planet. Backbone’s Jackson Hole office has secured a larger space downtown on Jackson street to accommodate its growing staff. Backbone’s new home will soon be located behind two local institutions, Fitzgerald’s Bicycles and the Snake River Brewery. The three staff members are thrilled about the close proximity to two favorite things—beer and bikes.
“I started Backbone’s Jackson office in Spring 2008 and now I have two amazing coworkers and 11 clients,” explains Sarah Hubbard, Backbone account manager. “Jackson is a hotbed for outdoor industry public relations, so the location has turned out to be the perfect compliment to our Carbondale office.”
